We set out in 2005 to create the type of eating place that we would love to find, where customers expectations are exceeded, not just met. The response from our customers speaks volumes with page after page of enthusiastic comments in our Visitors Book.

Scouring Devon to find the right place, we ended up in its heart....the Dartmoor National Park. Within two years we were awarded membership of the UK Tea Guild and we won the prestigious Award of Excellence in 2010 - know as the ‘Michelin Star’ for Tearooms.

We do the things that you might not expect from a Tearoom, like making our own bread, developing cakes of a quality that can only be found here and going that extra mile by making our own fresh mayonnaise for that extra special BLT. But there’s also a modern twist - you can relax here with a barista made cappuccino or a real fruit smoothie.
